Kent State student uses Twitter to threaten to ‘shoot up’ campus, authorities say

A student at Kent State University has been accused of inducing panic after threatening on Twitter to “shoot up” the Ohio campus,which has a history of bloodshed.
Sophomore William Koberna, 19, was arrested Sunday without incident at his parents’ house in Brunswick, Ohio.
“Any threat to our campus community is taken seriously and immediately investigated,” Kent State President Lester Lefton said. “Our students, employees, and all those who come to campus should know that their safety is our top priority.”
Koberna is set to be arraigned Monday on a felony charge of inducing panic and mesdemeanor aggravated menacing.
Cops said he tweeted that he planned to use firearms to “shoot up” the campus.
Lefton said Koberna also faces suspension or dismassal from pending a university hearing.
