Court records said that Leone left the scene after hitting another car, and then refused to stop when officers tried to pull him over.

He can be heard on the dash cam video saying he’s ‘had a bad night.’

Mr Leone’s mother Joan told WBNG that she was horrified when her son called her while he was in police custody.
She told the station: ‘They put him on the phone and he starts screaming that he has been beaten within an inch of his life. They tried to kill him through the night. He has been threatened that they are going to kill him and make it look like a suicide or an accident.

Mr Leon said “these guys are crazy and you’ve got to get me out of here, they’ve been beating me.” And the minute he said that, they pulled the phone from him and I was disconnected.’

Mr Leone was convicted in late 2010 of various charges, including assault, fleeing or eluding police, and resisting arrest. He is currently serving a 48-month prison sentence.
